Biography

My professional career has grown around graphic design techniques and the development of artistic creation. Creating, illustrating, painting, and designing are an essential part of my personality, being the key to motivation and my own growth as a professional and as a person. Low vision as an artist is a challenge.I totally identify with the phrase by Luis A. Ferre: Where there is emotion there is art, where there is art there is life, Where there is life there is hope.

My name is Susana Mendoza, I was born in Mexico City, and I currently live in a small town in Chiapas, Mexico.

One of the situations that has marked me, personally and as an artist, is the loss of vision in 2011. Since then, I have had low vision of less than 30% and the left visual field is affected. I have had to learn to live and paint with this new way of seeing and perceiving the world.

My recent work focuses on the reflection of being a woman, it wants to collaborate with the empowerment of women.

In each work, I work on experiences and feelings, I paint on emotions and symbols of life, figurative and symbolic art.
